Introduction
The Belvedere Academy is an all-ability, state-funded secondary school for girls based in Liverpool. One of the 29 schools in the Girls’ Day School Trust, it is considered a high-performing educational facility, which, in previous years, has come second in the Liverpool schools’ league tables. [1]
The Belvedere Academy offers a broad curriculum, coupled with a number of enrichment pursuits, including Mindfulness, Debating, Netball, Choir and Combined Cadet Force (CCF).
The majority of facilities are settled in five Victorian villas and some of the school’s more recent buildings. The campus has undergone many refurbishment projects and its additions now include science laboratories, dance & drama studios and ICT facilities.
The Belvedere community of notable alumni spans across the world, engaging girls in a range of mentoring programmes & social events and providing them with business networking opportunities.
To assess pupils for 11+ Entry, The Belvedere Academy administers the CAT4 test.
This assessment, also known as the Cognitive Abilities Test, is computer-based and covers four subject areas, each measuring Reasoning abilities.
