Introduction
Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School (KGGS) is a grammar school in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Founded in 1910, it has educated a number of prominent alumni, including Margaret Thatcher, former British Prime Minister. [1]

The Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School standard entry point is 11 Plus. However, the school also accepts applications from pupils interested in Mid-Year (Late) Entry. To assess pupils for late transfer, Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School administers the CAT4 online test.
The Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4) covers four subject areas, each of them evaluating pupils’ Reasoning skills though standardised assessments. It lasts approximately 2.5 hours (including rest periods).
Only applicants whose results place them in the top 25% of the ability range will be considered for a place. Results will be made known within five working days after the test.
