Introduction
Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School is a co-educational grammar school in Ramsgate, Kent. It was formed as a result of the merger of the Chatham House Grammar School (for boys) and Clarendon House Grammar School (for girls) in 2011. [1]
Through a stimulating curriculum, the school aims to inspire a lifelong love of learning, educating pupils accordingly. Lessons are delivered for English, mathematics, science, design & food technology, MFL, geography, history, art, computer science, PE & games, RS, music, drama and PSHE.

Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School’s standard entry point is 11 Plus. However, the school also accepts applications from pupils interested in In-Year (Late) Entry. To assess pupils for late transfer, Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School administers the CAT4 online test.
The Cognitive Abilities Test (CAT4) covers four subject areas, each of them evaluating pupils’ Reasoning skills through standardised assessments.

These tests will be taken at Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School. If you wish your child to be considered for the assessments, you should apply using the ‘In Year Common Application Form’.
The test is typically arranged within 10 school days of the receipt of the application. The minimum required standard is an aggregated standardised age score of 110 or more in each of the skills assessed. The test takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete and results are communicated within two school days.
